ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 7600 block of Perring Terrace was in the 7000 block of Marietta Ave. yesterday when a man grabbed her arm and stole her purse containing $8.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A lawn mower valued at more than $400 was stolen from a garage in the first block of E. Highfield Road yesterday by someone who cut a chain that secured the lawn mower to a radiator.
THEFT: Northern District -- Someone entered the Prudential Life Insurance Co. building in the 2800 block of N. Charles St. yesterday and stole a purse from the desk of an employee who had taken a break. The purse contained cash and property, all valued at more than $200.
STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- Police were seeking a 2-door red 1992 Toyota with tags TTC 768 that was stolen yesterday from the 3800 block of Canterbury Road.
THEFT OF HANDGUN: Southwestern District -- A .38 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun with a 3-inch barrel valued at nearly $170 was stolen yesterday from a house in the 500 block of S. Beechfield Ave.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 4400 block of Old Frederick Road was in the 3900 block of Frederick Ave. yesterday when a gunman robbed him of $80.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A delivery man for Kiani's pizza in the 4300 block of Wilkens Ave. was about to deliver a food order in the 500 block of Allendale Road yesterday when two men robbed him of more than $100 and two pizzas.
BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Two fans and a microwave oven, all valued at nearly $200, were stolen yesterday from the Human Services Day-Care Center in the 2800 block of N. Dukeland St. by someone who entered through a sliding glass door.
ROBBERY: White Marsh Precinct -- A man withdrawing money from a 24-hour teller machine in the 1500 block of Back River Neck Road yesterday was accosted by two men who robbed him of $20. The suspects drove off in a light blue Dodge Caravan.
SHOOTING: North Point Precinct -- A 23-year-old resident of the 4500 block of Eastern Ave. reported he was arguing with another man inside Gail's bar in the 400 block of North Point Blvd. Tuesday night when the argument was carried outside. There, the victim reported, the other man pulled out a handgun and shot him in the upper right leg. The victim hitchhiked to a nearby convenience store, where he was found by a friend who called police. The victim refused medical attention.
BURGLARY: Cockeysville Precinct -- A person who lives in a house in the 21200 block of Lentz Road arrived home yesterday in time to see two men running out of the house. Police said the pair had gained entry through the front door. It was not immediately known what, if any, property was taken.
STOLEN CAR: Woodlawn Precinct -- A 4-door, gold-colored 1987 Volkswagen Jetta with tags 209 AEZ was stolen yesterday from the 6100 block of Liberty Road.
BURGLARY: Woodlawn Precinct -- Someone entered a house in the first block of Camberwell Court yesterday and stole a compact disc player, a VCR, 60 compact discs, several computer games and a pillow case to carry the property, all valued at about $1,000.
SHOPLIFTING/ARRESTS: Woodlawn Precinct -- Police arrested two city women who attempted to leave the Montgomery Ward store at the Security Square Mall in the 6900 block of Security Blvd. yesterday without paying for clothing valued at nearly $800. The women, a 42-year-old resident of the 900 block of Argyle Ave. and a 23-year-old resident from the 2400 block of Loyola Northway, were being held pending a bail hearing.
BURGLARY: Woodlawn Precinct -- Someone entered a house in the 6700 block of Kincheloe Ave. through the front door yesterday and stole a telephone and a Caller ID unit, all valued at more than $500.
