Two men held in '93 slaying

Two men from Essex were in custody yesterday, charged in the fatal shooting two years ago of an eastern Baltimore County man whose body was found between two parked cars.

Alfred Junius Hinton, 26, of the 900 block of Ashbridge Drive and Edward Roscoe Williams Jr., 25, of the 1400 block of Maple Ave. were indicted on murder charges June 12. Mr. Hinton was arrested the next day on a Dundalk street, and Mr. Williams was arrested early yesterday on a street in Essex.

They are charged in the July 1, 1993, slaying of Lawrence Bruce Anderson, 47, whose body was found in the 100 block of Langley Road at Riverdale Apartments.

Mr. Anderson, who lived in the first block of Punte Lane, was shot once in the chest. Police said at the time that robbery did not appear to be a motive, and authorities said yesterday that the reason for the shooting remains unknown.

S. Ann Brobst, an assistant Baltimore County state's attorney, said the indictment was issued after a witness stepped forward recently and testified before the county grand jury.
