Lab technician

Evelyn R. Wachter, a retired laboratory technician and longtime Glen Burnie resident, died Friday of congestive heart failure at Harbor Hospital Center. She was 64.

Miss Wachter retired in 1985 after a 27-year career with the Carr-Lowrey Glass Co. Earlier, she had worked as a driver for a printing company.

Born and raised on West Lee Street, she was a 1948 graduate of Southern High School.

"She loved doing flower arrangements for friends and traveling to Ocean City and Florida," said Blanche Ramey, a friend for 30 years.

Services for Miss Wachter are planned for 11:30 a.m. today at George J. Gonce Funeral Home, 4001 Ritchie Highway, Brooklyn.

She is survived by two brothers, Charles Wachter and Lester Wachter, both of Baltimore.
