Catherine M. Preisinger

Catherine, known to her family and friends as "Chatty," graduated from Mount Hebron on May 30. She maintained a 3.67 grade point average and was on the honor roll 15 times. She was a member of the National Honor Society for two years.
Catherine was a member of the Viking Service Club for four years. She participated in school-run activities such as freshman orientation, banquets and luncheons for teachers.
She was elected to the class board all four years at Mount Hebron. The board plans homecoming activities, year-round dances and other activities with input from the student body.
Catherine was vice president of the Student Government Association as a senior and was junior class board representative.
She was a member of the marching unit flag team for four years, captain her junior and senior years and co-captain as a sophomore. The group participated in community activities and parades such as the Miss America Parade in Atlantic City, the governor's inauguration and at the Waverly Fall Festival. The unit also attended competitions in Florida and Canada.
She had perfect attendance for four years at Mount Hebron.
She was a guide in the Special Olympics for two years and participated in the youth group Young Life and the Breakaway youth group at her church, Chapelgate Presbyterian. She volunteered for Christmas in April this year.
Catherine's parents are Bill and Pat Preisinger. She has two brothers, Russell and Bradley, and a sister, Karen.
Plans: Catherine will attend Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg on a partial academic scholarship. She plans to major in accounting and criminal law. On her graduation, she said "I am going to miss school, but I have to move on."
