Sen. Craig appointed to lighthouse panel

State Sen. David R. Craig, a District 34 Republican, has been appointed to the Commission to Save the Lighthouses.

The commission was created in 1989 to study ways to preserve lighthouses along Maryland's shores. The commission members will report their findings to the governor on July 1, 1996.

The Concord Point Lighthouse in Havre de Grace, the oldest lighthouse in continual use in Maryland, is in Mr. Craig's district.

Paszkiewicz joins chamber board

Ernie Paszkiewicz, managing partner of Coyne & McClean, Chartered, a CPA firm with offices in Bel Air and Towson, was appointed to the Harford County Chamber of Commerce's board of directors.

Mr. Paszkiewicz of Forest Hill has served on the chamber's development committee. Dick Buchholtz was named director of operations of Klein's Supermarkets, a family-owned, five-store grocery chain in Harford County.

In his new position, Mr. Buchholtz is in charge of training and managing Klein's employees and store managers and upholding day-to-day efficiency in employee performance and service to the public.

Earlier, Mr. Buchholtz was the director of operations for Festival Foods, a division of Fleming & Co., a national grocery distributor headquartered in Harrisburg, Pa. Bob Lidke, producer and manager of Harford Cable Network, received an award from the Maryland Job Service Employer Committee and the Department of Economic and Employment Development for promoting employment opportunities in Maryland.

Job opportunities are listed Saturdays and Sundays on Harford Cable Network, the local public, education and government access channel that cablecasts over Comcast Cable Channel 3 and Clearview Cable Channel 7.

Carnaggio receives county recognition

Economic Development Coordinator Denise B. Carnaggio was named the Harford County government Employee for June.

Nominated by her co-workers in the county's Office of Economic Development, Ms. Carnaggio was recognized for serving as acting director twice, chairing the Harford Awards Program, being instrumental in the formation of the Harford Job Fair program and working with the local farming industry.
