A 24-year-old man was charged with threatening to kill several people in a Pioneer City pizza shop Thursday after an argument outside the shop, county police said.
Witnesses told police the argument between two men occurred about 5 p.m. outside J-Jay's Pizza Carryout at Pioneer and Reece roads. Afterward, one man came into the pizza shop, pulled a black .380 semi-automatic handgun from his waistband and threatened to kill everyone in the shop, police said.
The man then ran off, gun in hand. An officer chased him and caught him several blocks away near a playground on Autumn Lake Court. A fully loaded handgun was found nearby in some bushes.
Mario Ramon Wilson of the 1700 block of Richfield Drive in Severn was charged with assault, assault and battery, reckless endangerment, intent to injure, possession of a deadly weapon and possession of a handgun, police said.
Three people arrested in drug surveillance
Three people were charged with loitering and drug violations Thursday during a surveillance of the 7800 block of Shirley Murphy Court in Pasadena, county police said.
Police went to the area after residents complained about drug dealing in the neighborhood. Police said the three arrests were made around midnight.
Charles Andrew Jackson, 23, of the 1100 block of Madison St. in Annapolis was charged with loitering and possession of marijuana, police said. Gwendolyn Fletcher, 25, of the 700 block of Shirley Murphy Court was charged with possession of cocaine and cocaine paraphernalia, police said.
Brian Heath Bynum, 23, of the first block of Bens Drive in Annapolis was charged with loitering and was served with a warrant for failing to pay child support, police said.
Garage break-in nets thieves several tools
Someone broke into the garage of a home in the 1100 block of Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. in Arnold between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday and stole $1,815 worth of tools, police said. The stolen items included a Black and Decker right angle drill, a Craftsman gasoline-powered blower, a Craftsman gasoline-powered brush cutter and a Honda five-horsepower air compressor.
Burglar kicks in door, takes electronic items
Someone kicked in the front door of a house in the 1000 block of Lamp Post Lane in Millersville between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and stole a Zenith color television, a Zenith videocassette recorder and $20, police said. The items were valued at about $500.
