Annapolis consulting firm hires Tomlinson and Scharf


The Annapolis office of Forensic Technologies International Corp., a litigation consulting business that provides engineering and scientific analysis, has hired Sandra Tomlinson as a project manager for its vehicle accident reconstruction group, and Robin Scharf of Bethesda as a senior producer of visual communications.

Previously a video producer at Corporate Video in Landover, Ms. Tomlinson will now oversee reconstruction cases for FTI.

Ms. Tomlinson, president of the Annapolis Jaycees, is a member of Women in Film and Video and the Annapolis Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Scharf specializes in conceptualization and development of visual strategies for demonstrative evidence.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ms. Scharf was previously a graphics consultant for Litigation Services Inc. in Washington.

Brickman recognized as financial planner

Howard J. Brickman has been recognized by the Maryland Senate for accomplishments in the field of financial services.

The Senate passed Senate Resolution 89, sponsored by Baltimore Democratic Sen. Clarence W. Blount, recognizing Dr. Brickman, a certified financial planner with offices in Severna Park.

Lynda Coleman joins real estate office

Lynda Coleman, an Annapolis resident and real estate professional, recently joined the Annapolis office of Weichert Realtors.

A certified buyer's agent, Ms. Coleman is a member of the Anne Arundel County Association of Realtors and a volunteer with the Bay Ridge Civic Association. She also chairs the Teacher Appreciation Committee of the Georgetown East Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization.

Robert Bethke named business counselor

Robert Bethke has joined the Maryland Small Business Development Center as the business counselor for Anne Arundel County, county economic development corporation officials announced this week.

Mr. Bethke, who was a consultant in the private sector for five years, fills a post that was vacant for about two months.

He provides free counseling for people interested in starting a business and guidance on business plans and loan programs.

He has offices at the county economic development corporation on Riva Road in Annapolis and the North Arundel Center in Glen Burnie.
