2. Ryan Homes has begun construction of the six brick-fronted two-story Colonials the firm is building on 1/3 - to 1/2 -acre lots at Diamond Hills in Westminster. Homes in the Carroll County community will have gas heat.

At $169,990 for 1,800 square feet, the Stratford is the smallest and least expensive home Ryan is offering at Diamond Hills. A two-car garage, 14-by-11-foot living room and foyer with a powder room and coat closet occupy the front of the Stratford.

Across the rear there is a 9-by-11-foot dining room, 9-by-10-foot kitchen, 8-by-10-foot dinette and 17-by-11-foot family room.
