Two men were being sought after unrelated bank robberies yesterday in Cockeysville and Pikesville, each using a note but displaying no weapon, Baltimore County police said.
In the first robbery, at 11:20 a.m. yesterday, man passed a note to a teller at the Fairfax bank in the 9700 block of York Road demanding cash. The teller told police that when the man put a bag down, it made a sound indicating a heavy object.
The robber was described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s, 6 feet 1 and 175 pounds, with dark brown, slicked-back hair. He was wearing a multicolored T-shirt, hemmed blue denim shorts and wrap-around sunglasses.
At 12:30 p.m., a man entered the First National Bank in the 3700 block of Old Court Road and gave the teller a note demanding cash. It said he had a gun in the blue plastic shopping bag, police said.
The robber was described as black, in his late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 6 and 170 pounds, with a medium complexion, short black hair and clean shaven. He was wearing a dark printed shirt and dark shorts.
