3 men robbed by teens near Lake Kittamaqundi

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A group of teen-agers asked three men walking near Lake Kittamaqundi Wednesday night whether they wanted to buy drugs, then robbed them when they refused, Howard County police said.

No one was injured in the 11:35 p.m. robbery in the 10200 block of Wincopin Circle in Columbia's Town Center, police said.

The victims had been walking near the pier when they were approached by six to eight males 15 to 17 years old, one of whom offered to sell marijuana, then threatened to stab the men if they did not turn over money, police said.

As some of the teen-agers harassed two of the men, others took the third man to a fountain and stole his wallet, police said.

Some of the teen-agers wore dark clothing and sweat pants, police said.
