5 men face drug charges after 2 homes are raided


County police arrested five Glen Burnie men on drug charges Wednesday after raiding two apartments in the 7800 block of Americana Circle.

Officers with the Eastern District Tactical Narcotics Team raided one apartment shortly before 2 p.m. and found small quantities of suspected cocaine and marijuana, 73 capsules of amphetamines and $548, police said.

During the search, officers were told that they could find more drugs in a nearby apartment. There, they found a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana, police said.

Police charged Shelby Kendal Dalton Vick, 22, who lives in the second apartment; Matthew Edward Nagy, 20, who lives in the first apartment; William Alvin Rank, 19, of no fixed address; and James Alan Carter III, 21, and Irem Erol, 19, both of the 7000 block of Americana Circle, with possession and possession with intent to distribute drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
