Attackmen David Quinn and Sean Ryan each scored three goals to lead No. 20 Towson State over visiting Bucknell, 13-4, yesterday at Minnegan Stadium. The Tigers (2-4) ended a four-game losing streak, their longest skid in 13 years.
Four Tigers scored as Towson State took a 4-0 lead early in the second quarter.
Bucknell (4-2) held Towson State scoreless for the next 12 minutes and got a goal from Allan Donnelly to cut the lead to 5-2 at halftime.
But the Tigers scored three straight goals to open the third quarter and seal the victory.
* Duke 9, Massachusetts 8: Scott Harrison scored the game-winner and Duke's only goal in the fourth quarter as the No. 8 Blue Devils (8-2) edged No. 9 Massachusetts (2-2) at Duke Lacrosse Stadium. The Blue Devils have won eight of their past nine games.
The Minutemen came back from two three-goal deficits and came close to sending the game into overtime when Brendan Glass had a shot ricochet off the post with 10 seconds remaining. Duke had a 52-29 ground ball advantage and won 13 of 21 faceoffs.
* Princeton 19, Penn 2: Jason Osier scored four goals as No. 5 Princeton routed host Penn (4-5). Osier, who did not join the Tigers until the second game because of basketball, has scored seven goals in the last three games.
Princeton scored 17 goals while shutting out the Quakers for the final 50:25. The Tigers outshot Penn 62-22 and controlled 19 of 25 faceoffs.
* Brown 12, Yale 8: Brian McNally scored three of his career-high four goals in an 11-0 run by Brown as the No. 10 Bears (3-3) came back to defeat No. 16 Yale (5-3) at Stevenson Field in Providence, R.I.
Trailing 6-1 with 10:26 left in the second period, Brown inserted backup Dan Giannuzzi, who held the Bulldogs scoreless until the final minute of regulation and made seven saves.
* Harvard 10, Vermont 8: Jaime Ames scored four goals to help No. 15 Harvard (4-1) over Vermont (0-4) in minus-20 wind chill in Burlington, Vt.
