Donald A. Beverage
Donald A. Beverage, a retired boat builder, died Thursday of a heart attack at his Severna Park home. He was 78.
Before he retired in 1988, Mr. Beverage was project and program manager for the Coast Guard's 41-foot utility boat division at Curtis Bay, where he worked for 13 years. During the 1960s, he worked at Revel Craft in Arnold in prototype development.
He was born in Camden, Maine and spent 16 years in design and production at Richardson Boat Co. in North Tonawanda, N.Y. He moved to Maryland in 1961 to become vice president of the Owens Yacht Division of Brunswick Corp. in Baltimore.
Mr. Beverage was a dedicated sailor, fisherman and antique car buff. He was a member of the Maryland Free State Fly Fishers and the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America.
For 48 years, he was married to the former Veronica M. Durkin, who died in 1988.
A Mass of Christian burial was to be offered at 9:30 a.m. today at St. John's Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park.
He is survived by a daughter, Theresa Sheldon of Geneva, Ohio; two sons, Donald Beverage of Adamstown and Steven Beverage of Severna Park; and six grandchildren.

Doris E. Hall,76, a retired toll fraud investigator for the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co. who grew up in West Baltimore, died Thursday of cancer in Hudson, Fla. She had lived in Florida since retiring in 1974.
Services were planned for 10 a.m. today at Dobies Funeral Home, 6616 Congress St. in New Port Richey, Fla.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her husband of 48 years, Roy R. Hall; a son, Gerald David Gurry of Durham, N.C.; a daughter, Laurelyn D. "Lynn" Wilson of Hudson; a sister, Theresa Geraldine Johanson of New Port Richey; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
