A 16-year-old Westminster youth has been charged as an adult with attempted arson and drug counts after he was accused of selling cocaine to an undercover trooper in October.
Nathaniel Marice Costley of the first block of Charles Street was being held Friday in lieu of $25,000 bond on the arson count and related charges and $25,000 unsecured bond on the drug charges, according to District Court papers.
The Costley youth is charged with conspiracy to manufacture and distribute the drug, three counts of possession with intent to distribute and one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
State police said his case was waived from juvenile court to district court.
Officers said the youth sold cocaine several times to a trooper between Oct. 6 and Oct. 20.
They said the youth also threatened to burn a building in the 200 block of E. Main St. and stole gasoline from a gas station.
He also threw an 8-foot ladder at the auto of a person who lives in the building and broke a storm door trying to enter the dwelling Nov. 8, police said.
