Severn woman injured as object hits windshield

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A Severn woman was injured Monday night when someone threw an object at the windshield of a car, county police said.

Marge Dinsmore, 46, of the 200 block of Burns Crossing Road, was a front-seat passenger in a 1989 Ford Bronco driven by Kirk Allen Gerdsmeier, 25, of the 600 block of Cog Court. They were northbound on Veterans Highway approaching Benfield Boulevard shortly after 11 p.m. when an unknown object struck the windshield, police said.

Flying glass struck Ms. Dinsmore in the face. She was treated at North Arundel Hospital and released, hospital officials said.

Mr. Gerdsmeier could not tell if the object was thrown from a vehicle southbound on Veterans Highway or from some nearby woods, police said.
