* Westminster: A 12-year-old East Middle School student was arrested and charged with one count of having a deadly weapon on school property Wednesday. City police were called by school officials and said the youth had a folding knife in a case. The youth was released to his mother and will face trial in juvenile court.

A resident of Halter Road reported to city police someone stole the hood ornament from his auto while it was parked at Cranberry Mall Wednesday. He estimated the theft at $118.

A resident of Bell Road told city police someone stole four wheels and tires from her auto while the vehicle was parked near her home Friday. She estimated the theft at $1,000.


* Pleasant Valley: Pleasant Valley responded to a brush fire in the 2500 block of Silver Meadow Court at 3:47 p.m. yesterday. Units were out 30 minutes.
