Delaware State beat Florida A&M; for the first time in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tournament play last night, and the Hornets made it look easy, especially forward Andre Griffin.

Griffin scored a game-high 30 points, including a five-for-seven show from three-point range, as Delaware State routed the Rattlers, 100-73, in the MEAC men's tournament play-in game at Hill Fieldhouse. The Hornets will play top-seeded Coppin State in today's 1:30 quarterfinal. The Hornets allowed a 33-16 first-half lead to slip away, as Florida A&M; went on a 16-3 run to pull to within 36-32 at the break.
