A Pasadena man was arrested on drug charges Tuesday night after a patrolman found PCP and a pipe in a car parked in the Brekenridge community, county police said yesterday.

Officer Harry Peterson was called to the 1200 block of Oak Harbor Court shortly before 8 p.m. to investigate a report of a suspicious car. When he arrived, he saw a Ford Thunderbird with two passengers inside, police said.

Officer Peterson said the passenger put a plastic bag between his seat and the center console.

The officer ordered the man out of the car, searched it and found the PCP in the bag and a pipe under the passenger seat. The man admitted owning the drugs and the pipe, police said.

Thomas Walmsley Read Jr., 19, of the 300 block of South Carolina Ave., was charged with possession of PCP and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
