A Gambrills man was arrested on drug and traffic charges Monday night after a patrolman stopped him for speeding at Waugh Chapel Road and Blackcherry Way in Piney Orchard, county police said.
Western District Officer Bryan Parker was operating a radar gun about 9 p.m. when he clocked a blue, 1986 Chevrolet driving by at 50 mph. Officer Parker stopped the man and found that his driver's license had been suspended, police said.
Officer Parker arrested the man and took him to the Western District, where police found on him a plastic bag of a substance that they said tested positive for marijuana.
Bryan Edward Remson, 18, of the 2300 block of Maytime Drive was charged with possession of marijuana and driving while his license was suspended, police said.
