* ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Southern District -- A woman was robbed of her purse in the 200 block E. Patapsco Ave. at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Police said when the robber grabbed the woman's purse, she refused to let go and the two struggled for several minutes before she lost it.

* PURSE SNATCHING: Southern District -- A woman was robbed of her purse in the gift shop of Harbor Hospital Center in the 3000 block of S. Hanover St. at 3:05 p.m. Sunday. Police said the woman was at the counter paying for some items when the robber snatched her purse containing $200 in it.

* AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Southern District -- An 18-year-old man was beaten with a baseball bat by another man in the 1600 block S. Hanover St. at 5 p.m. Sunday. Police said the victim was walking down the street when his assailant demanded money. The 18-year-old refused and the man beat him with an aluminum bat. A 27-year-old suspect was arrested.

* THEFT: Western District -- About $1,500 in cash was JTC discovered missing from the office of Whitelock Towing in the 2600 block of Flora St. Sunday morning.

* LARCENY FROM AUTO: Central District -- Two coats and $130 were stolen from a 1994 Toyota parked in the first block of W. Chase St. between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:40 p.m. Sunday.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* STOLEN AUTO: Woodlawn Precinct -- A 1994 maroon Plymouth Voyager, with Maryland tags 628706, was taken from the first block of Walden Cypress Court sometime between 8:30 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

* BURGLARY: Garrison Precinct -- Someone threw a rock through the glass front door of the Sprouts market and cafe in the 10000 block of Reisterstown Road about 2:30 a.m. Sunday. A cash drawer containing $400 was taken. Damage was estimated at $2,000.

* ARMED ROBBERY: Garrison Precinct -- A woman walking on Milford Mill Road near Scotts Level Road about 6:30 a.m. Sunday was robbed of her handbag by a man who jumped from a gray car driven by another man and pointed a silver handgun at her. The handbag and its contents were valued at $500.

* ROBBERY ATTEMPT: North Point Precinct -- A man who implied that he had a weapon attempted to rob a High's store in the 7700 block of German Hill Road about 10:30 Sunday night, but fled when the clerk told him, "I'm not giving it to you."
