Crofton board to hear report on development

The Crofton Civic Association will hold a board meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. at town hall.

Bob DiAiso will give an update on the development of the Village at Waugh Chapel, a proposed development of homes, businesses and a community center.

The board also will discuss school redistricting.

Wildlife programs offered at Patuxent center

The Patuxent Environmental Science Center will offer several wildlife programs this month.

A wildlife walk will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday; a bird walk from 9 a.m. to noon March 12; a workshop on endangered wildlife from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. March 19; and a seminar, "Beavers -- Makers of the Marsh," from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. March 25.

Registration is required.

The center is off Route 198 east in Laurel.
