Feb. 28: Lecture of Horace Greely, Esq. -- A highly respectable and intelligent audience assembled on Wednesday evening at the Universalist Church, to hear the proposed lecture of Mr. Greely, before the Murray Institute.

March 4: Yesterday was a busy day at the rail road depot, in Pratt Street. The arrival and departure of the cars, filled with persons bound to Washington to witness the inauguration of Col. Polk, presented a scene as we never witnessed before.

Feb. 26: Washington -- The second week of the triennial session of the National Council of Women opened today with a discussion on the topic of "Equal Pay for Equal Work."

March 1: The Eastern Avenue road is in rough condition from Bayview to Back River.

Feb. 27: Bolstered by continual gains in both passenger and freight receipts, total operating revenues of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad increased $1,556,029 in January, the company reported yesterday.

March 3: March 14 will be Tin Can Collection Day in Baltimore County, it was announced today.

March 4: J. Cookman Boyd, an attorney who, as president of the Park Board in the early 20s, was the center of repeated controversies, died yesterday morning at his home, 8 Club Road, Roland Park. He was 78.
