Around the house
* Store cast iron pots (without lids) between paper towels when stacking to prevent moisture and rusting.
* Recycle an old umbrella. Hang the skeleton of an umbrella upside down from a shower rod and use as a drying rack for hand washables.
* If you have no place to hang your hat, try using an empty coffee can as a hat stand.
In the garden
* Dust houseplants with a feather duster. A solution of half milk and half water will gloss leaves.
