Crofton chamber announces officers

The Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce recently announced its 1995 officers and board of directors:

President, Marcia Collett of Arundel West Appraisals; vice president, Dennis Stackhouse of Allstate Insurance; treasurer, Mary Bierly of Signet Bank; secretary Jean Cowden of NationsBank.

Directors are Bill Branham of Swallow Office Supplies & Copy Center; director of marketing, Martha Brown of Long & Foster Realty; director of community affairs, Thomas Callahan of Callahan & Callahan, P.C.; director of programs & special events, Guy Lupero of Nationwide Insurance; and director of government affairs & business development, Gene Seefeldt of Centers for Effective Therapies.

Westinghouse honors Mauler

Severn resident Gary Mauler was recently recognized by Westinghouse for an outstanding contribution to the Anne Arundel County School system and was awarded the Corporations Community Service Award.

Mr. Mauler, a fellow engineer with Westinghouse Electronic Systems in Linthicum, has worked with the Advanced School Automation project, an effort that will eventually connect county school computers with the county library system.

By making use of his contact with vendors, Mr. Mauler identified approximately $500,000 in educational discounts and savings to the Board of Education.

Anne Marie Pereira joins CPA firm

Anne Marie Pereira has joined the CPA firm Albert W. Woodfield III P.A in Annapolis as a managing partner.

With the addition of Ms. Pereira, the firm has changed its name to Pereira & Woodfield, P.A. Ms. Pereira, a graduate of the University of Maryland, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of CPA's and the Maryland Society of Accountants.

Lisa Hillman named vice president

Lisa Hillman has been named vice president for development and community affairs for Anne Arundel Health System.

In her new postion, Ms. Hillman will oversee the fund-raising, development, public relations and community partnership activities of AAHS, which includes Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC).

She will coordinate strategies to improve the effectiveness of the foundation, community health partnership and public relations and act as an advocate for the Health System in its community outreach role.

Ms. Hillman most recently served as executive director of the AAMC Foundation overseeing fund-raising activities for the Medical Center since 1990.

Janet Rock, Daniel Roys promoted

Caruso Homes in Crofton recently promoted two employees to positions of vice president. Janet Rock has been promoted to vice president of finance, and Daniel Roys was named vice president of production.
