Can it be that the worst of the winter is over? After last year's apocalyptic weather, it appears Mother Nature has taken pity on us.
Now, as if to confirm spring's imminent arrival, the Ann Arrundel County Historical Society's Browse and Buy Shoppe on Old Baltimore & Annapolis Boulevard reopens for business March 7.
The shop carries antiques, collectibles, jewelry, and old checks that were used to pay the people who worked the county's farms years ago. Farm workers traded these metal discs for goods at local stores. They have now been turned into jewelry. The Browse and Buy Shoppe is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, call 255-2729.
