Divakaruni elected hospital staff president
Dr. Adinarayana Divakaruni of Ellicott City has been elected president of the professional staff at Howard County General Hospital.
The gastroenterologist will preside at all general staff and medical executive committee meetings, serve as an ex-officio member of all clinical departments and medical staff committees and be on the hospital's board of trustees. Ellen Carr of Columbia has been recertified as a board certified diplomate in clinical social work.
She conducts a clinical psychotherapy practice at Changes Unlimited in Columbia. Michael J. Nieberding has joined Congress Financial Corp. in Columbia as its vice president of new business.
Mr. Nieberding, a Loyola College graduate, was previously with First National Bank of Maryland.
Cornecelli appointed AlliedSignal director
George Cornecelli has been appointed director of total quality for AlliedSignal Technical Services Corp. in Columbia.
He will be responsible for the management of corporate quality, performance and productivity enhancement processes, as well as the technical direction of quality assurance programs. Donna Rawlings of Commercial and Farmers Bank in Ellicott City has been promoted to vice president of human resources.
Ms. Rawlings has been with the bank for seven years and recently received her master's degree in human resource development from Towson State University.
