Gunman robs teen pedestrian of gold chains

THE BALTIMORE SUN

An Odenton man was robbed of two gold chains Saturday night by a man who threatened to shoot him if he didn't hand them over, county police said.

Coey Marshall, 19, was walking in the 8400 block of Pioneer Drive near Arwell Court shortly after 9:30 p.m. when a man passed him. Seconds later, the man grabbed him by the neck, pulled out a black semiautomatic handgun and threatened to shoot Mr. Marshall. The gunman took two gold chains from around the victim's neck, police said.

Mr. Marshall flagged down Western District Officer Vincent Butler, who was on routine patrol, and told him of the robbery. Officer Butler and other patrol units checked the area but did not find the gunman.

Police say the gunman was a black male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a ski mask, dark leather jacket, light blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
