Sophomore center Kim Schaffrick's short bank shot with seven seconds left in the third overtime yesterday gave host Towson State a 72-70 win over North Carolina-Greensboro and moved the Tigers past UNC-Greensboro into first place in the Big South Conference.
Schaffrick ended the longest game in TSU history that featured 13 ties and 10 lead changes.
Towson (12-10, 11-2) trailed by a basket three times in the third overtime before taking a 70-68 lead on Trinette Tucker's three-pointer with 58 seconds left. The Spartans (14-9, 9-2) tied the game at 70 with 42 seconds left before LaTonya Joyner's rebound set up the game-winner.

* Frederick CC 82, Mont.-Rockville 69: Theresa Arnett scored 23 points and Ashanta Sellers added 20 and 16 rebounds, leading Frederick Community College (26-1) past Montgomery-Rockville (20-2) to capture the Maryland JuCo Tournament title at Garrett Community College.
Tracey Grossnickle scored 14 points for Frederick, which has won 26 straight games.
