Health inspectors cite 19 food establishments

The Anne Arundel County Health Department inspected 142 restaurants and food service establishments during the period of Jan. 15-31.

Although inspectors did not order any emergency closings, they did cite 19 businesses for sanitary and physical plant violations. They are:

* Nordstrom Inc., Annapolis Mall, Annapolis. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* Scirocco Mediterranean Grill, 2300 block of Riva Road, Annapolis. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* Roy Rogers, first block of Defense St., Annapolis. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* Southgate Subway, 300 block of Hospital Drive, Glen Burnie. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* Eastern Petroleum Co., 7700 block of B & A Blvd., Glen Burnie. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* R.J.'s Sub Shop, 7300 block of Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie. Food not kept at proper temperature; altered or spoiled food.

* Aquahart Food Store, 1000 block of Crain Highway, Glen Burnie. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* Kentucky Fried Chicken, Ritchie Highway and Vernon Avenue, Glen Burnie. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* 7-Eleven, 700 block of Greenway, Glen Burnie. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* Lucky's Convenience Market, 800 block of Crain Highway, Glen Burnie. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* Hardee's of Southgate, 1600 block of Crain Highway, Glen Burnie. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* Second Genesis, 100 block of Circle Drive, Crownsville. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* Subrunners, unit block of Forest Drive, Annapolis. Food not adequately cooked or reheated.

* Manchu Wok, 7900 block of Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* McGarvey's Saloon, 8 Market Space, Annapolis. Food not kept at proper temperature. Re-inspection required.

* Sbarro's, 7900 block of Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie. Food not adequately cooked or reheated.

* Super Fresh Food Market, 1200 block of Bay Dale Drive, Annapolis. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* Norm's Deli, Harundale Mall, Glen Burnie. Food not kept at proper temperature.

* Subway, 1400 block of Ritchie Highway, Arnold. Food not properly cooled.

Six establishments were inspected and will require a re-inspection to assure compliance on a noncritical violation:

* Burger King, 8100 block of Ritchie Highway, Pasadena.

L * Drug Emporium, 6300 block of Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie.

* Vera's Bakery and Cafe, 500 block of B & A Blvd., Severna Park.

* Black Eyed Pea, 7900 block of Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie.

* McDonald's, 600 block of Old Mill Road, Millersville.

* Westinghouse Corp., 7000 block of Aviation Blvd., Glen Burnie.
