Conley's 20 lift Lake Clifton over Walbrook

Janika Conley scored 20 points to lead third-ranked Lake Clifton (15-2) to a victory over host Walbrook, 55-51, in a 4A City league girls basketball game yesterday. Natisha Ferguson added 13 points.

Danielle Turner scored 21 points for the Warriors (7-10). The Lakers missed 13 of 24 free throws.

* Western 70, Southwestern 28: Chanel Wright scored 22 to pace top-ranked Western past host Southwestern. Shayla Parker led Southwestern with 13.

Western (21-0) took an early 23-4 lead en route to the win.

* Arundel 67, Glen Burnie 25: Junior forward Chavonne Hammond scored 21 points to lead No. 8 Arundel (20-0) over host Glen Burnie. Senior Bridget Davis led Glen Burnie (3-17) with 12 points.

* Westminster 75, Liberty 37: Beth Lister scored 31 to lead No. 14 Westminster (17-4) past visiting Liberty (2-19).

Lister also grabbed 14 rebounds and picked off three passes.

* Linganore 63, Poly 57: Cara Cousnegra and Melissa Kelly each scored 18 points to lead visiting Linganore over Poly. Kendall Peace scored 17 points and Jawai Maith added 15 for the Engineers.

* Southern-AA 59, South River 41: Tyra Neal scored 19 points and grabbed 22 rebounds as Southern-AA (6-12) defeated visiting South River (2-16). Neal also had seven steals.

Bonnie Taylor scored 19 points and Jess Marion added 14 points for the Bulldogs.

* Annapolis 55, Meade 32: Jackie Edwards scored 18 points to lead Annapolis (11-9) over host Meade (6-14).

Tamara Washington scored 17 points for Meade.

* Chesapeake-AA 50, North County 41: Sandra Norris scored 15 as Chesapeake-AA (9-11) defeated host North County (8-12). Erika Herron added 11 points for the Cougars.

T.C. Horney led the Knights with 13 points.

* Edmondson 54, Patterson 46: Kenya Langley scored 16 and Michelle Inman and Emily Jones each added 14 as host Edmondson (11-6) defeated Patterson (9-9) to qualify for the state playoffs for the first time. Anita Hyman led the Clippers with 28 points.

Edmondson, which trailed 35-29 after three quarters, outscored Patterson 25-11 in the fourth quarter.

* Granite Baptist 64, Frederick Christian 22: Alana Stubbs scored 19 to help Granite Baptist (17-2) past visiting Frederick Christian. Amy Spurlin added 18 for Granite Baptist.
