NORTH CAROLINA A&T; (10-12) at COPPIN STATE (15-8) Site: Coppin Center

Outlook: Coppin State (12-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) won its 12th straight with a 74-64 victory over Delaware State on Thursday. The Eagles shot 70 percent in the second half after shooting 29 percent in the first. Mario McGriff scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds in 28 minutes off the bench. North Carolina A&T;, which beat Coppin by two Jan. 7, fell to Georgia Tech, 85-81, on Wednesday. John Floyd led the Aggies (8-4) with 27 points on 11-for-13 shooting and had nine rebounds.

Note: Coppin State and NationsBank will sponsor a canned food drive today, with the proceeds going to Bea Gaddy's Patterson Park Emergency Food Center.

UMBC (11-12) at UNC-GREENSBORO (19-4) Site: Spectator Gym, Greensboro, N.C.

Outlook: UMBC (8-5 Big South), which is tied with Radford for third place in the conference, ended an eight-game losing streak to Towson State at the Towson Center on Thursday night, rallying from a 39-26 halftime deficit. Tony Thompson led UMBC with 24 points, hitting nine of 11 shots from the floor. Senior C Pascal Fleury scored 10 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked six shots. UNC-Greensboro (12-1), which leads the league by two games, topped UNC-Asheville, 85-64, Thursday. Tony Daughtry scored 14 points and four others scored in double digits. The Spartans cruised to the win by shooting 70 percent from the three-point line in the first half.

SOUTH CAROLINA STATE (13-10) at MORGAN STATE (4-19) Site: Hill Field House

Outlook: Morgan State (4-9 MEAC) has lost seven of eight, including a seven-point loss to Delaware State on Monday. The Bears were out-rebounded, 42-31. Desi McQueen scored 18 points to lead four players in double figures as South Carolina State (10-3) defeated Howard, 73-62, Thursday. The Bulldogs beat Morgan, 83-61, on Jan. 7.

FLORIDA A&M; (4-19) at UMES (10-13) Site: Tawes Gymnasium, Princess Anne

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Outlook: UMES (6-7 MEAC) can move within a half-game of fifth-place Bethune-Cookman with a win. Ricky Davis (18.9 ppg) of Florida A&M; (1-12) leads the conference in scoring. UMES' Aaron McKinney scored 26 points and UMES connected on five free throws in the final 18 seconds to defeat host Florida A&M;, 74-69, on Jan. 7.

RIDER (15-8) at MOUNT ST. MARY'S (12-11) Site: Knott Arena, Emmitsburg

Outlook: Mount St. Mary's (10-5 Northeast Conference) can virtually guarantee itself of playing host to a conference first-round tournament game with a victory tonight. Sophomore F Charles Smith scored a career-high 33 points to power league-leading Rider (12-3) to an 82-64 victory over Wagner on Thursday. The Broncs beat the Mount, 89-78, on Jan. 28.
