Intersolv Inc.'s stock shot up 14 percent yesterday after the Rockville software company reported better-than-expected earnings late Wednesday.
For the three months that ended Jan. 31, the company reported record third-quarter net income of $4.0 million, or 25 cents per share, up from $2.6 million, or 20 cents per share, in the same period in the previous year. Sales were a record $30.1 million, up 31 percent from the previous period.
Its stock ended at $16.125, up $2, in Nasdaq trading.
