Peter Greenfield, 50, president and chief executive of PoFolks Restaurants, died Tuesday of a heart attack in Mount Sterling, Ky. Before going to work for PoFolks in January, he was a principal in the hospitality consulting firm of Dillon, Greenfield and Roe. PoFolks, a family chain, has 34 company-owned and 72 franchised restaurants across the country.
Elaine Mackie, 39, executive director of the Napa Valley Vintners Association since 1990, died Tuesday of cancer in Napa, Calif.
