DOVER, Del. -- Mario McGriff came off the bench to score 16 points and grab nine rebounds last night, leading Coppin State past Delaware State, 74-64, for its 12th straight Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference win.
Delaware State (6-18, 3-12) led 39-33 with 16:24 left, but Coppin State went on an 11-4 run to take a 44-43 lead after a three-pointer by Stephen Stewart with 10:56 left.
Back-to-back three-pointers from Allen Watson and Keith Carmichael gave the Eagles (15-8, 12-1) a 52-44 lead with 9:43 left.
