North Arundel Hospital lecture today will focus on fitness

North Arundel Hospital has several lectures scheduled for the remainder of the month.

* "Focus on Fitness," from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and "Kick the Habit" from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m, will be held today in the Radiology Conference Room, lower level.

Both are being offered in conjunction with the cardiac unit's month-long focus on maintaining a healthy heart.

* "Adding Vim, Vigor and Vitality to Lifestyles," will be begin at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow in the third-floor conference room as part of the regular monthly lecture series.

* "Diabetes: Self Awareness," from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and "Aspects of Emotional Recovery" from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., Feb. 22 will be the last in the series of lectures offered by the hospital's cardiac therapists.

*The hospital's risk manager, Maggie Miller, will discuss patient advance directives from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 23. The program will provide information about issues such as creating a living will.

* Glen Burnie: Someone stole a guitar, a guitar case, strings and other guitar paraphernalia worth more than $1,402 from a 1986 Chevrolet Cavalier parked in the 7800 block of Southampton on Thursday night.

* Glen Burnie: Someone stole a cordless drill, two mountain bikes, an extension ladder, a tool set and four bottles of liquor, all worth more than $1,000, from the storage shed of a home in the 7900 block of East Park Drive between 11 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

* Glen Burnie: Someone stole a Sony stereo and compact disc player from a 1980 Ford Mustang parked in the student parking lot of Glen Burnie High School between 7:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Monday.
