Cocaine, paraphernalia seized in raid 8 arrested

Howard County police raided a Savage home Saturday morning, confiscating cocaine and drug paraphernalia and charging eight people.

Detectives searched the home in the 8500 block of Storch Woods Drive after an investigation, police said.

About 1:15 a.m. Saturday, detectives charged into the home and seized several items, including a 7.5-gram chunk of cocaine, small bags containing cocaine, a digital scale, razor blades, several cellular phones, pagers, trace amounts of marijuana and a revolver.

Arrested on charges of possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were: Shawn Gabriel Porter, 24, of Laurel; and Ernest McNiel Bacon, 24, Victor Gloria, 20, and Arvine Kelvano Queen, 24, all of the raided address. They were being held in the Howard County Detention Center, a District Court commissioner said.

Charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana and drugs were Derrick Lamont Abbott, 20, of Glen Burnie; Juanita Reese, 23, of Baltimore; Dannyelle Williams, 21, of Baltimore; and a 17-year-old male from Laurel. The adults were released on personal recognizance, and the youth was released into parental custody, a District Court commissioner said.
