COPPIN STATE (13-8)
Tonight: At Florida A&M;, Gaither Center, Tallahassee, Fla., 8 (WOLB 1010 AM). Coppin State has won 10 straight and leads the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference with a 10-1 record. The Eagles are coming off an 88-61 victory over Bethune-Cookman on Thursday. Keith Carmichael and Sidney Goodman scored 25 and 19 points, respectively, for Coppin. Stephen Stewart, who had averaged 17.7 points and 8.7 rebounds in his previous two games, missed Thursday's contest with the flu. Florida A&M; (4-17) ended a 24-game losing streak against Division I foes with a 77-73 win over Morgan State on Thursday. The Rattlers' Ricky Davis (18.2 ppg) leads the MEAC in scoring.

LOYOLA (6-15)

Fast breaks: The Greyhounds lost to Canisius, 63-55. It was Loyola's seventh loss in its past eight games. B. J. Pendleton led Loyola with 21 points and Teron Owens (Catonsville High) added 11 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. Pendleton moved into ninth place on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,363 points. Trailing 45-28, the Greyhounds pulled within 54-53 with 2:05 remaining. Greyhounds C David Credle scored 10 of his 12 points during the 25-9 run that put Loyola back in the game. Canisius' Craig Wise scored eight of his 23 points after that, including six straight from the free-throw line, to seal the victory.
MARYLAND (19-4)
This week: At Wake Forest, Wednesday, Joel Coliseum, Winston-Salem, N.C., 9 p.m.
Fast breaks: The eighth-ranked Terrapins held off pesky Florida State with an 11-0 run in the closing minutes for an 80-65 victory. Joe Smith and Johnny Rhodes each scored 18 points for Maryland, which led by two points with 5:20 remaining. Keith Booth then made two free throws and Smith scored on a follow shot to make it 67-62. Booth followed with four straight points before Rhodes hit a layup and Smith sank a baseline jumper to give the Terps a secure 75-62 cushion with 1:34 to go. Maryland is 14-0 at home and has beaten Florida State four straight times.
MORGAN STATE (5-16)
Tonight: At Delaware State, Dover, Del., 7:30 (WEAA 88.9 FM). Delaware State has lost four straight, including a 67-59 setback to UMES on Saturday. Delaware State's Chris Nurse tops the MEAC in rebounding (9.6) and field-goal percentage (.606). Morgan State has lost six of its past seven.
This week: South Carolina State, Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
Fast breaks: The Bears were routed by Bethune-Cookman, 100-78. It was Bethune-Cookman's largest margin of victory in a conference game since joining the MEAC in 1981. Six Wildcats reached double figures in scoring, led by LaMont Parrish's 30 points. Terrence Wright led the Bears with 22 points, followed by Paul Grant with 16. Consecutive three-pointers from Scott Deas and Brandon Battle highlighted a 13-4 Bears run that pulled Morgan State within 58-48 with 15:35 remaining. But the Wildcats scored eight unanswered points in the next two minutes to make it 66-48. Bethune-Cookman's lead got as high as 25 points with 7:31 left.
MOUNT ST. MARY'S (11-10)

Fast breaks: The Mountaineers defeated St. Francis (N.Y.), 89-74. Riley Inge scored a career-high 26 points and registered 11 assists for the Mount. Jeff Balistrere followed with 17 points, Mike Brown had 15 and Chris McGuthrie contributed 13 points and 10 assists. With the victory, the Mount improved to 2-7 on the road.
NAVY (15-8)
This week: At Army, Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.
Fast breaks: The Midshipmen routed Colgate, 93-51. It was Navy's most lopsided victory since a 108-63 win over Delaware in 1986. Larry Green scored 21 points and Michael Heary added 16 for Navy (7-4 in the Patriot League), which is one game behind Colgate (8-3) in the league standings. The Midshipmen out-rebounded Colgate 30-10 in the second half. Colgate never got on track offensively, shooting 32 percent from the field in the first half and 39 percent in the second half. The Midshipmen, meanwhile, shot 54 percent from the field for the game.
TOWSON STATE (10-10)
Tonight: Charleston Southern, Towson Center, 7:30 (WITH 1230 AM). Charleston Southern has won five straight and is in second place in the Big South Conference with an 8-3 record. Towson State has won back-to-back games for the first time in more than a month.
This week: UMBC, Thursday, 7:30 p.m.
Fast breaks: Florian Schneider scored 17 points to lead a balanced attack as Towson State beat Coastal Carolina, 92-69. The margin of victory was the highest ever in a Big South game for Towson State, eclipsing an 85-64 win over North Carolina-Asheville in the 1992-93 season. Schneider scored 16 of his points in the first half as Towson State built 39-31 halftime lead. Michael Keyes added 12 points and eight assists. Jason Crump, Ralph Blalog and DeRon Robinson each scored 10 points. Coastal Carolina pulled within 47-44 with 15:05 to play. Towson State then turned on its offense and led by as many as 29.
UMBC (9-12)
Tonight: Coastal Carolina, UMBC Fieldhouse, 7 (WWLG 1360 AM). The Retrievers have won four of their past six games. Coastal Carolina has lost seven of its past eight games. KeKe Hicks (22.5 ppg) leads the Chanticleers in scoring.

Fast breaks: The Retrievers lost to Charleston Southern, 72-62. Charleston Southern led 26-23 at halftime, and pulled away after intermission, outscoring UMBC 46-39 in the second half. Eric Wyatt scored 18 points and Tony Thompson chipped in 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Retrievers.

Fast breaks: The Hawks defeated Delaware State, 67-59. Aaron McKinney scored 17 points and John Woods added 12 for UMES. The Hawks took a 39-28 halftime lead and then held off Delaware State, which outscored UMES 31-28 in the second half.
