POLICE LOG
* Ellicott City: 9200 block of Route 40: Treadmills, a basketball backboard and patio furniture were stolen after someone cut a lock from a Kmart store's trailer Thursday, police said.
* Elkridge: 6300 block of Arbor Way: Someone pried open doors of four houses under construction and took two ranges Thursday. Police said they found the stolen property near a trash bin across the street from the site.
