Amusement center opens in Carrolltowne
A Fun Quarters family amusement center is to open today in Carrolltowne Shopping Center.
Attractions in the 10,000-square-foot center include a raceway, play areas, a fitness maze, baby bulldozer, arcade room and party rooms.
Students may bring their report cards to receive a free game token for each A or equivalent grade.

Demsko is promoted to controller of PR firm
Karen Demsko of Hampstead has been promoted to controller at Rosse & Associates Inc., an advertising, marketing and public relations firm in Sparks.
Formerly accounting services manager, Ms. Demsko joined the company in 1990.
Deena Cook is named ad, marketing manager
Deena Cook of Sykesville recently joined Greenberg Shows Inc. as an advertising/marketing manager.
She will help promote Greenberg's Great Train, Dollhouse and Toy shows, which are held in cities from Massachusetts to Florida. More than 35 shows are scheduled this year.
The company has had its headquarters in Sykesville since 1981 and has sponsored shows since 1976. The company employs 10 people in Carroll and more than 90 nationwide.
