A Mayo woman charged in a $2 million suit filed yesterday against an Edgewater couple that she was bitten by the couple's German shepherd while attending a yard sale at their home in August.
Mary Anne Myers was at Guy and Norman Briguglio's property in the 1600 block of Elkridge Drive on Aug. 13 when the couple's dog jumped over a 4-foot high fence and bit her left breast, says the suit, which was filed in Anne Arundel Circuit Court.
Records at the Anne Arundel County Animal Control Center show that the dog had bitten someone else a year before, according to the suit.
The suit alleges that the Briguglios were "careless and negligent" in not posting warnings about the dog and in failing to restrain it during the yard sale.
The Briguglios were unavailable for comment yesterday.
