Someone broke into a Millersville comic book store Monday morning and stole comics and collectible cards, county police said.
An employee of Empyre Comics, in the 400 block of Headquarters Drive, reported the theft about 4:30 a.m. Police say the break-in occurred after Officer Joseph Larkin checked the store at 3:47 a.m. The store was secure when Officer Larkin checked.
The thieves got inside by breaking a side window. They scattered comic books and cards on the floor, knocked over the cash register and a comic book display, and smashed two glass display cases. Police could not estimate the value of the stolen items.
