Glendening to address Howard chamber
Gov. Parris N. Glendening will be the featured speaker at the Howard County Chamber of Commerce's general membership meeting at noon March 16 at the Columbia Inn, 10207 Wincopin " Circle.
Advance tickets are $30 for the public and $25 for chamber members. There is a $5 charge if tickets are purchased at the door. Registration the day of the event will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Company wins warehouse contract
Constellation Real Estate in Columbia has won a $1.9 million contract from Eight O'Clock Coffee Co. to serve as general contractor of a 40,000-square-foot warehouse addition at its Landover facility.
Constellation expects to complete the warehouse in late spring.
Mays & Associates marketing tourism
Mays & Associates, an Ellicott City-based advertising, marketing and public relations company, has added the Howard County Tourism Council as a client.
The firm will be responsible for a marketing plan and will design print, radio and television advertising.

Joynes is named bank vice president
Cynthia M. Joynes of Ellicott City has be named vice president and controller for Taneytown Bank & Trust Co.
Before joining the bank, she was a senior audit manger at KPMG Peat Marwick for seven years.
Benjamin J. Dychala of Ellicott City was awarded the chartered life underwriter designation by American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa.
Mr. Dychala is a member of C. W. Amos & Co. in Baltimore and concentrates on personal financial and estate planning.
Davis is appointed to advisory board
Jeffrey E. Davis of Columbia has been appointed to the business advisory board of Physician's Practice Digest.
Mr. Davis is the director of the health care services group of Glass, Jacobson & Associates, an accounting and management consultant firm with offices in Owings Mills and Columbia.
