New Windsor awards street repair contract

THE BALTIMORE SUN

New Windsor awarded a $4,043 emergency street repair project to Stambaugh's Inc.

The Union Bridge paving and excavating company offered the lower of two bids for repairs to the sidewalk and storm drain along High Street, near New Windsor Automotive Specialties.

Free State Paving bid $4,800.

"Stambaugh's offered more specifications, and they are available to start as soon as possible," said Mayor Jack Gullo.

When town work crews pulled up a section of concrete on High Street, they discovered that water was bypassing the drain. The mayor is concerned the leaks might damage nearby foundations.
