BOSTON -- For the first time since May 11, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate pulled on a pair of skates yesterday, grabbed a stick and a pair of gloves and --ed up and down the ice under the watch of assistant coach Tom McVie.
"Will you look at this," McVie said in wonder. "Can he go."
Since playing in the Stanley Cup quarterfinals, the 28-year-old former Capitals defenseman has undergone on operation on each knee. In September, he bolted camp when he felt he was being rushed back to action.
