BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone smashed the front window of Scorpio's Den of Hair Designers in the 3500 block of Dolfield Ave. between 9:15 a.m. and 11:25 a.m. yesterday and stole a pink, European-made coin telephone filled with about 220 quarters.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Three youths robbed a 44-year-old man about 7 p.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of Garrison Blvd. of a ring, watch and government check, all valued at $590.

ARMED ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A gunman robbed a 52-year-old fuel-oil truck driver of $100 about 5 p.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of Liberty Heights Ave.

CARJACKING: Northwestern District -- A gunman pointed a revolver at the head of a motorist about 7:40 p.m. Saturday in the 4400 block of Park Heights Ave. and forced the 28-year-old driver to give him his 1994 Nissan Ultima. The gunman drove east on Cold Spring Lane.

ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northern District -- An assailant in a black leather trench coat hit a 58-year-old man in the head and took his wallet containing $55 at 12:25 p.m. yesterday in the 2900 block of Greenmount Ave.

ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northern District -- A 72-year-old man was thrown to the ground, beaten and robbed of $372 in cash about 9 a.m. Saturday in the 2800 block of Greenmount Ave. by a man.

BREAK-IN: Western District -- Someone broke into a house in the 200 block of N. Carey St. Saturday night or yesterday morning and took two televisions valued at $520.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into the Culture Boutique in the 1300 block of W. North Ave. Saturday night or yesterday morning. Purses, clothing, jewelry and cassette tapes were stolen.

BURGLARY: Western District -- About $60 in cash and 33 cartons of cigarettes were taken from Jesse's Liquor in the 500 block of N. Fremont Ave. after someone broke into the business through a second-floor apartment early yesterday.

AUTO THEFT: Southern District -- Someone stole a 1986 Oldsmobile sedan with Pennsylvania tags from the 600 block of Washington Blvd. Saturday night or yesterday morning.

Baltimore County

ASSAULT/ARREST: Essex Precinct -- Police arrested and charged David Thompson, 32, of the 1000 block of Punjab Drive with assault with intent to murder after being called to his home at 3 a.m. yesterday to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. He was accused of holding a machete to a young woman's neck.

SHOPLIFTING: North Point Precinct -- A man stole four leather jackets valued at $339 each from Manor Shop Menswear in the 1400 block of Merritt Blvd. Saturday afternoon. The thief was described as white, 28 to 32 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He had medium-length blond hair, and wore a tan jacket and blue jeans. He fled in a maroon car.

STOLEN CAR: North Point Precinct -- A blue 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass two-door sedan with Maryland tags XKS 589, was stolen from the Mars supermarket parking lot in the 7200 block of Holabird Ave. shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday.

STOLEN CAR: Cockeysville Precinct -- A silver 1987 Mazda RX-7 sports car with Maryland tags AEC 937 was reported missing about noon yesterday from Lake Vista Circle.
