McGuthrie helps Mount top Morris

EMMITSBURG -- Chris McGuthrie scored 22 points, leading (( Mount St. Mary's to an 81-62 victory over Robert Morris in a Northeast Conference game last night.

McGuthrie played sparingly in the second half after colliding with Billy Erwin of Robert Morris at midcourt. Both players suffered cuts above the right eye.

Riley Inge added 17 for the Mountaineers (10-9, 8-3), who moved over the .500 mark for the first time this season and also into second place.

Mount St. Mary's opened the second half, turning a 44-36 halftime lead to 56-36 with 15:48 remaining.

B6 Randy Edney scored 14 points for Mount St. Mary's.
