Aderio Jones led the Pioneers with 25 points.

Sylvester Clarke added 23 points and 17 rebounds, and Tony Curro (10 assists) and William Brown each had 12 points.

The Pioneers (9-11) had won their fourth straight last Friday, 81-78, over Dundalk, which led by three points at halftime.

Jones had 23 points to lead four Pioneers in double figures. Clarke added 16, and Curro and Nat Scott 12 each.

Clarke also had 13 rebounds, and Curro dished out 10 assists.

Steve Kraning scored nine points on three-pointers.

Though only 5-foot-9, Clarke continues to rank among the leading JuCo rebounders in the state with an average of around 14.

"Everybody's really starting to come together," Kraning said. "We're stepping it up right now and playing as a team. We have big expectations."

The Pioneers' last home game is tomorrow at 7 p.m. against Catonsville.

Women's basketball

Anne Arundel fell behind by 10 points to visiting Frederick after 20 minutes yesterday, and it only got worse.

Final score: Frederick 88, Anne Arundel 53.

Debbi Dadds led Anne Arundel (13-6) with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Denise Perrone added 12 points.

The Pioneers received 19 points and 14 rebounds from Dadds in a 70-62 win over Potomac State last Friday.

"Debbi was unstoppable in the second half," said assistant coach Joe Snowden. "As usual, she played a great game, both offensively and defensively."

Anne Arundel trailed by 12 points in the first half and was down, 30-26, at halftime.

Perrone and Brandee Snyder added 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Jen Shanahan had nine points and nine rebounds.

Perrone and Snyder each had four assists.

"We played together as a team," Snowden said.

"This was our sophomores' game. They wanted this win on the road. They talked the whole game and really communicated on the floor."

The Pioneers travel to Garrett for tomorrow's 6 p.m. game.
