Man buys bag, takes cash from Brooklyn Park store

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A man robbed a Sav A Lot store in Brooklyn Park Monday evening and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, county police said.

The man walked into the store in the 5000 block of Ritchie Highway about 7:30 p.m. and asked the clerk for a large grocery bag. He paid the clerk a dime for the bag, then opened his jacket to reveal the short, blue barrel of what appeared to be a gun. He ordered the clerk to fill the bag with money and ran from the store when the clerk complied, police said.

The suspect is a black male in his 20s. He stands 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds. He has a dark complexion and a faint mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue knit cap, faded blue jeans, white tennis shoes with black stripes and a knee-length puffy blue insulated jacket, police said.
