Charles B. McCoy, 85, a former chief executive of the DuPont Co., died Monday of complications from Alzheimer's disease in Greenville, Del. In 1971, he became the first person in the chemical giant's history to serve simultaneously as chairman and president. He is credited with changing the company from a family-run operation to one that brought in outside professionals.
