1993 Napa Ridge Chardonnay, Central Coast ($6.50)

This fresh, clean, fruity chardonnay is no paragon of complexity. And there's a greenish flavor suggesting wet hay that's hardly classic. Still, this is an enjoyable, fruity, well-balanced wine with an appropriately light hint of oak. Available in large bottles, it's an excellent choice as a party pour.
